Ghoo

Pars Vegetable Oil is one of Iran's long-established edible-oil manufacturers, founded in Tehran in 1954. The company initially operated in cotton processing and oil extraction before expanding into vegetable-oil refining and industrial food-oil production.

Ghoo became the company's principal consumer brand and developed a long-standing presence in Iran's edible-oil market. Pars Vegetable Oil's current portfolio includes sunflower, canola, soybean, corn and frying oils as well as vegetable ghee and specialty fats for professional and industrial applications.

For decades, production was associated with the company's historic factory in southern Tehran. Urban development and environmental requirements eventually led to the closure of that site, followed by the development of a new production complex in Pishva Industrial Town, Tehran Province.

The new facility is being developed in multiple phases covering consumer edible oils, specialty fats and oil extraction. In recent years, Ghoo has also returned to the consumer market with renewed branding and new product development.

Its history spans industrial expansion, operational disruption, factory relocation and eventual market revival—demonstrating how a deeply established consumer brand can retain value even through major structural change.
